If you are interested in a particular breeding, 2B Farms offers a free waiting list. After the doe kids, you will be welcome to choose from available offspring. After choosing the kid of choice, a small non-refundable deposit of $75.00 will hold your kid until weaning. Price of the kid includes: Disbudding, Tatooing, Coccidiosis Prevention, CDT and booster, and Worming. If prospective buyer wants to bottle rear their kid, we must be notified asap so we can make this transition within 48 hours. Dam raised kids must leave by 12 weeks or a daily fee of $5.00 a day will accrue. We sometimes offer bottle reared kids and they must be picked up at the time of purchase or as soon as transport can be arranged. Buyers are responsible for all fees associated with shipping out of state including health inspections. The health of the animal is guaranteed until pickup. After leaving the farm, the health of the goat can no longer be guaranteed. Any issues we notice will be disclosed but prospective buyers have the responsibility to further inspect their goat for disqualifying traits and/or health concerns. No goats (including pets) will be sold as a single goat unless plans to purchase additional goats can be verified. New goat owners are highly encouraged to research feeding, health care, and maintenance as to assure optimum health and enjoyment of the animal for many years to come. Finding a mentor that's knowledgeable in goat care is a good option as well.
2B Farms reserves the right to retain any animal at any time.
Herd Health
2B Farms maintains an annually tested CAE negative herd. Results are available by request. CL and Johnes are only tested on new animals or at prospective buyers expense and request.
Dairy Herd Improvement
We are continually trying to improve our herd through select breeding and participation in Linear Appraisal. We are in the process of going on milk test through DHIR to provide us production information on our herd and individual does that will be a valuable tool in breed improvement through breeding, feeding, and management decisions.
